Sarah Tansits

Education:
M.S., Higher Education Counseling & Student Affairs – West Chester University of PA, 2018.
B.A., Communicative Disorders minor in Psychology – West Chester University of PA, 2009.

 

Sarah has traveled up and down the east coast, living in PA, DE, FL, TX, and now MD.  Prior to Washington College, Sarah worked in Orientation and New Student Programs at West Chester University (2018), developing and executing leadership programming in the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement at West Chester University (2016-2018), Assistant Coordinator for Camps and Conferences at University of Texas at Dallas (2017), and was Panhellenic Advisor at Jefferson University (2017-18). Before academia, Sarah worked in marketing and sales for five years selling fraternity and sorority items.  Before that she did applied behavioral analysis with 2-6 year olds who have autism for two years.  Her broad background brings a different perspective to student affairs at Washington College.

 

Outside of Washington College:

Sarah is the Chapter Adviser for the Psi Gamma chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity, as well as a national volunteer for Phi Mu Fraternity sitting on the National Leadership and Special Projects Committee. 

She is also a co-founder and board member of The Katie Foundation.  A non-profit organization that since it’s birth in 2016 has raised over $70,000 for mental illness awareness and research.  She and one other woman organize annual 5Kate races and other promotional events throughout the year.
