Academy of Lifelong Learning

Emily Moseman

I grew up in a Navy family, moving often, including Italy, Honduras and Colombia, but lived in Annapolis, MD more than anywhere else. I attended Ursuline College, Cleveland, Ohio. Marrying Jim in 1974 meant a continued pattern of frequent household moves, beginning in Honolulu, with new locales every 1-3 years until our 1999 move to Brussels, Belgium. Our 2015 retirement brought us to Chestertown. Through the years, management of our household with four sons kept me truly at work. Outside the home I worked in the field of banking, inventory, payroll & accounting until Brussels when I worked for the U.S. State Department in various administrative assignments including White House Staff for the 2002 NATO Presidential & Foreign Ministers Meeting in Prague. Upon Jim’s retirement from the Navy I worked as a personal contractor to U.S. Ambassador to Belgium Sam Fox, with responsibility for the Ambassador and Mrs. Fox’s personal calendars, travel arrangements, local finances and arrangements for residence guests. My interests include travel, reading, quilting, light gardening, biking, swimming, yoga and of course WC-ALL

classes.
