Why did you choose your major?

I took a civics class in ninth grade and that is when I fell in love with politics. I see governance as a way to make a lasting impact on the world and a way to improve lives. Civic engagement and our participation in politics is necessary to work towards a better world for, not just ourselves, but for our neighbors and all citizens. This participation requires critical thinking and the study of our political institutions so that we can identify problems and propose the proper solutions to move forward.

Why did you choose to attend Washington College?

The campus is small and provided me with the opportunity to make new friends and get out of my comfort zone. The small class sizes allow me to excel in my studies and create close relationships with my professors, something which you cannot get at a large university.
