Alec Cottone is a GIS Statistical Data Analyst for the Washington College GIS Program. In his role, he works with the Maryland Highway Safety Office identifying geospatial relationships of crash and citation data throughout the state of Maryland in order for the MHSO to reach their zero deaths goal. Alec graduated from Gettysburg College with a B.S. in Environmental Studies and concentration in GIS. His previous GIS experience includes acting as a peer learning associate for Gettysburg’s Introduction to GIS course and working in the GIS division of the Adams County Planning and Development Office.
