Kelsey’s thoughts on the value of a CES internship
I am so excited to be working with CES this year as the Pasture Raised Food Systems Research Intern. I have recently developed a passion for sustainable food systems, and my experiences in the Chesapeake Semester only increased this passion. As an intern at CES, I will get to do research in order to eventually implement a pasture-raised beef operation at Chino Farms. This cattle operation could potentially double as a management technique for the native warm season grasses. I am excited to see where this research takes me, and I hope that my work can eventually lead to increased sustainability in our food system at WAC.
