Sean Flanigan ’15
Sean Flanigan was hired as Washington College’s first-ever Athletics Gift Officer during the summer of 2017. Flanigan is responsible for overseeing the fundraising efforts for the Athletic Department. A 2015 graduate of the school, Flanigan was a two-year captain for the College’s men’s basketball team and has worked in development and operations since graduation.
Flanigan most recently served as an administrative specialist for the Delaware Center for Inland Bays, where his main responsibilities included maintaining donor profiles in the company’s database, gift entry and processing, and relationship building.
“I hope to provide support to the athletic mission of Washington College and be a resource to the teams, coaches, parents and alumni” stated Flanigan
While attending Washington College, Flanigan received the College’s Elizabeth “Bo” Blanchard Memorial Sportsmanship Award and attended the NCAA Career in Sports Forum. He was named to the 2014 Centennial Conference All-Sportsmanship Team and the 2015 NABC Honors Court. He received his B.A. in Business Management from the College in May 2015 and went on to earn an M.B.A. in Non-Profit Management from Wilmington University in Delaware.
