This course is an investigation into the psychological dynamics behind today’s front page social issues. Topics to be explored include ADDICTION: drugs, alcohol, gambling, buying/hoarding; DISCRIMINATION: race, gender, sexual orientation; OBESITY: eating disorders; MENTAL HEALTH CONCERNS: depression, bi-polar, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). 

 

RALPH SURETTE, Ph.D. is a retired psychologist and adjunct professor of Psychology at Washington College.
