William Miller P’14
Mr. Miller is the president of Trident Utility Contracting, an underground utility company he started in 2013, and Light Tech Inc., which provides fiber optic services to the telecom and cable industries and which he founded in 2006. He retired as Chairman of KITCO Fiber Optics in 2017.
Mr. Miller also serves as Vice Chairman of Towne Bank, Norfolk; as a member of the House Ethics Advisory Panel, Virginia General Assembly; and as a Board member of the Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges. He is on the board of Hampden-Sydney College and previously chaired its Parents Council.
Shep Miller is the father of Katharine “Trinka” Miller, who graduated with the Class of 2014. Mr. Miller and his wife, Gigi, served as the inaugural co-chairs of the Washington College Parents Council, remaining in that role for four years. They reside in Norfolk, VA. Gigi serves on the board at St. Catherine’s, an all-girls private high school in Richmond, VA.
