Kate serves two roles at Washington College. She has been the Director of Advancement Services in the Office of College Advancement since 2005. In this capacity, she serves as the chief information officer for the Office of College Advancement, providing strategic leadership to create and manage an effective infrastructure to support the College’s fundraising and alumni relations efforts.
Her more recent role is as a Lecturer in the Department of Business Management for the Business Analytics course. She teaches students to think critically about business information about make data driven decisions.
She received a Bachelors of Arts from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, majoring in Mathematical Biology. In 2016, she graduated with her Masters of Science in Data Analytics from University of Maryland University College. She was inducted in the Phi Kappa Phi honor society in 2016.
She has worked at Washington College since 2002, starting as the Manager of IT Support Services (HelpDesk) in the Office of Information Technologies.
Kate also plays clarinet in the Washington College Symphonic Band and participates in Washington College fitness classes.
She is a Registrar with the Old Kent Chapter of the National Daughters of the American Revolution and is a genealogy consultant (GEP Certified I,II and III).
