Assistant Director of Intercultural Affairs/George’s Brigade Scholarship Program Coordinator

Tya M. Pope, MPA serves as the Assistant Director of Intercultural Affairs and the coordinator for the George’s Brigade Scholarship Program. 

As the Assistant Director, Pope is responsible for coordinating and executing initiatives for students, faculty, and staff at Washington College aimed at helping individuals explore identity and privilege while supporting and promoting a diverse and inclusive campus.  As the Coordinator for the George’s Brigade Scholarship Program, Pope will organize activities, seminars, and other opportunities for the scholars within the program to acclimate to the college campus.  Pope earned a BA in Political Science and Women’s Studies (2006) and Master’s degree in Public Administration (2012) from the University of Delaware.  Prior to working at Washington College, Pope worked in a variety of community nonprofits in the state of Delaware.
