Heidi Tegeder Schultz was the principal oboist with the U. S. Naval Academy Band from 2000 – 2007 and has performed with numerous professional orchestras during her music career. She has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Kenosha Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Civic Orchestra, the Delaware Symphony Orchestra, The Ohio Light Opera, Walt Disney World Orchestra, American Wind Symphony, Maryland Philharmonic Orchestra and the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra. She has also recorded and toured Europe with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the American Wind Symphony. She currently freelances in the area.
She has taught private oboe lessons through the public school systems in Pittsburgh and Chicago, teaching all ages from elementary school through high school. Locally she was the private oboe instructor at the Friends School for 4 years in Baltimore, MD. She currently teaches at Severn School in Severna Park and has a private studio.
