David White

DAVID WHITE received a Ph.D. in History from the University of Virginia and taught Middle Eastern and Indian history for 25 years at Appalachian State University in North Carolina where he held the I.G. Greer Chair in History before becoming a Dean and then Provost. He has held two Fulbright Fellowships and four Joseph Malone Fellowships, lived in India for three years and lived and travelled extensively throughout the Middle East, especially in Egypt, the West Bank, and Lebanon.
