ZTA Think Pink Fundraiser

On March 30th 2019, Washington College hosted an invitational regatta on the Chester River.  The men’s and women’s rowing teams competed against several other schools.  St. Joseph’s, St. Marys, Franklin & Marshall, Catholic, Villanova, Bryn Mawr, and Wellesley, all competed against Washington College. The men’s rowing team took 2nd in overall points for the day, and the women’s rowing team took 1st.

During the regatta, ZTA held a Think Pink fundraiser.  ZTA sold food, held a 50/50 raffle, and handed out ribbons in order to raise money for breast cancer education and awareness.  People from the Chestertown community, the other competing schools, and Washington College students helped the sorority raise over $1200 to be donated to their philanthropy.  Amanda Mede, was asked about her experience at the fundraiser and she responded “The regatta was probably one of the best philanthropy events that Zeta has ever had. Not only were we able to support our sisters on the rowing team, but we were also able to raise so much money for breast cancer education and awareness!”
