The Future of Religion in American Politics with Ross Douthat

On December 3, at 6:30 p.m., New York Times columnist Ross Douthat will give a talk titled “Reflections on America’s Future: The Future Shape of Religion, Politics and Higher Education in the United States.” Free and open to the public, the lecture will be held in Hynson Lounge of the College campus at 6:30 p.m.

Douthat is a political columnist and blogger noted for being the youngest op-ed columnist in the history of The New York Times and bringing an analytical conservative Catholic voice to the pages. He is most recently the author of Bad Religion: How We Became a Nation of Heretics which explores the American turn away from Catholic values. His other books include Privilege: Harvard and the Education of the Ruling Class and Grand New Party: How Republicans Can Win the Working Class and Save the American Dream, which he co-authored with Reihan Salam.  Previously he worked as a senior editor and blogger at The Atlantic.
