The quartet will play Beethoven, Mozart and Faure in its April 26 concert in Hotchkiss.

CHESTERTOWN, MD—The Philadelphia Camerata will return to Washington College on Saturday evening, April 26, to perform a selection of music from the Classical and Romantic eras. The program, scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Hotchkiss Recital Hall, Gibson Center for the Arts, includes compositions by Beethoven, Mozart and Faure. It is presented by Kent Chamber Music.

The Philadelphia Camerata is a quartet whose members are Simon Gollo (violin), Michael Strauss (viola), Charles Forbes (cello) and Yuko Izuhara-Gordon (piano).

“As they play, we the hear instruments sing to each other as they create a beautiful musical conversation,” says Dr. Randy Bellows, an organizer of the Kent Chamber Music Series.  “This quartet plays music with both an exuberant joy and a warm passion.”

Tickets are $15 at the door, or $1 with a student ID. Ticket requests may also be sent to Pat Diedrichs 25240 Foxchase Drive Chestertown, MD 21620. For more information, visit the Kent Chamber Music website or call 410-810-1834.
