How Video Games Help Kids Manage Pain

CHESTERTOWN, MD—On Monday, April 22, University of Maryland Baltimore County professor Lynnda Dahlquist will lecture at Washington College on “Using Video Games and Virtual Reality Technology to Manage Acute Pain in Children.” The lecture begins at 4:30 p.m. in Goldstein Hall, room 100, and will be followed by a reception in the McLain Atrium of the Toll Science Center. It is free and open to the public.
Dr. Dahlquist is Director of the UMBC Pediatric Psychology Lab. She specializes in the treatment of acute and chronic pain in children, and her research is frequently published in various psychological and medical journals, including Journal of Pediatric Psychology.
