Free 12@Hotchkiss Concert Presents Horn Player James Rester Friday, Oct. 2
Location: Daniel Z. Gibson Center for the Arts
CHESTERTOWN, MD—This Friday, October 2, at noon, the Washington College Music Department presents a free performance by horn player James Rester. Part of the monthly 12@Hotchkiss series, the concert will take place in Hotchkiss Recital Hall in the College’s Gibson Center for the Arts.
A native of Alabama, Rester studied under David Pandolfi and David Wetherill and has played with the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra for the past eight years. “Music is important to me as a powerful catalyst for emotion,” he has said. “When we as musicians transcend our instruments and our egos, and honor exactly what a composer has asked us to do, that’s when the magic happens.”
The 12@Hotchkiss Series is offered at noon on each first Friday of the month during the academic year, featuring top musicians from the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. For more on the series, go to concertseries.washcoll.edu or call 410-778-7839.
