Emergency Operations Group Drill on Thursday, June 9

June 07, 2016
On Thursday, June 9, agencies across Kent County will be holding an “Emerging Infectious Disease Drill” to help train major stakeholders in the event of an infectious disease outbreak. This simulation will help strengthen emergency response protocols for all of the organizations involved in the drill while providing practical experience for the personnel taking part.

Agencies involved are Office of Emergency Services, Washington College, UM Shore Medical Center at Chestertown, Kent County Health Department, Kent County EMS, and Kent & Queen Anne’s Rescue Squad.

Exercises will be held on Washington College’s campus and in the Shore Regional Health Hospital of Chestertown throughout the day on June 9th. We’d like to ensure that no campus members, guests, or visitors are alarmed by the proceedings, which may involve enactors using medical equipment or moving “patients” to and from exercise locations.
