Dance Students Get Kids Moving

WC’s dance department welcomes K-8 students for a free morning of creative movement and dance instruction Saturday morning, November 16.

CHESTERTOWN, MD—The Washington College Dance Program will host its 14th Community Dance Day on Saturday, November 16, 2013, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Johnson Lifetime Fitness Center on the campus in Chestertown.

Open to children in grades K-8, this is an opportunity for free dance instruction in creative movement, hip-hop, and Broadway dance.  There will be stretching and across-the-floor activities before the dances are taught. No prior dance experience is necessary.   

The event is organized and taught by students in Nu Delta Alpha, the national dance honor society.  The Washington College chapter members are Rebecca DeSantis, Courtney Gowland,
