Concert Features Leupold’s Original Works
CHESTERTOWN, MD–Friday, March 29, composer and percussionist John Leupold, an assistant professor of music at Washington College, will present a Composition Recital featuring four original works for chamber ensembles. The recital will begin at 12:30 p.m. in Hotchkiss Recital Hall, Gibson Center for the Arts, on the College campus. It is free and open to the public.
This hour-long concert will be performed by Washington College faculty members joined by musicians from Washington, D.C. and New York City. The program consists of Exasperating Perpetuation (violin, clarinet, cello, and piano), Envisaging a Supercluster (World Premiere performance for cello and piano), A Slight Angle to the Universe (solo violin), and Charismatic Thaumaturge (oboe/english horn and bass trombone).
