Winning Strokes

The women’s swim team won eight of 11 events in a 123-79 Centennial Conference victory over visiting Bryn Mawr November 16th.

Juniors Ellie Miskiel and Carly Ogren each won two individual events for the Shorewomen. Miskiel captured the 200 individual medley in 2:21.29 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.26. Ogren won the 200 freestyle in 2:04.27 and the 100 freestyle in 56.89.

Senior Allison Kvien, sophomore Alicia Howard, and freshman Julianna Fritzinger each won one individual event. Kvien won the 1000 freestyle in 11:51.49, Howard the 100 backstroke in 1:06.85, and Fritzinger the 500 freestyle in 5:44.37. The Shorewomen won the opening event of the meet as Howard, Miskiel, senior Sarah Sykes, and Ogren captured the 200 medley relay in 2:00.48.
