Earlier this month, Washington College celebrated Homecoming with a variety of events and activities pertaining to the New Year’s theme.

The week started out with a Wac Trivia night centered around New Year’s on Monday, October 13th. Then, we had planned on having a Homecoming Tailgate at the Men’s Soccer Game on Wednesday, October 15th; however, due to rain, the Tailgate was unfortunately canceled. However, we persevered and held a Bonfire on Friday, October 17th, at which the Steel Band Ensemble, WACappella, the Jazz Combo Ensemble, and Sho’Troupe held performances. More than 200 people attended and those who took our event survey all gave positive feedback. Then, finally, on Saturday, October 18th, SEB and SGA hosted the New Year’s Homecoming Dance in which hundreds of students danced for most of the night. Dancing only ceased when seniors, Connor Harrison and Nagham “Hammy” Qanadilo, were named Homecoming King and Queen. Therefore, it is safe to say that Homecoming week was a success! Thank you to all those who planned and helped out with the events and, of course, to all those who attended! We appreciate all of your help!
