Alumni Office Launches Voyagers Program

July 25, 2013
This summer, 16 Washington College students will be hitting the road. Their destination: your favorite coffee shop or park, where they’ll conduct informal interviews with as many as 200 alumni.

The Washington College Voyagers program is an outreach initiative that employs students and recent graduates to engage alumni in conversations about their Washington College experiences and their career paths since graduation. Voyagers will also share their insights about what’s new on campus as well as President Reiss’s vision for the College’s future.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for alumni to let their voices be heard,” notes Jesse Schaefer ’12, who is heading up the Alumni Relations program. “The interviews will last about 45 minutes and will focus on your college experience, current interests, and the type of relationship you would like to have with your alma mater. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask your Voyager about student life and the latest news from the Eastern Shore. The information collected as part of the interview will help strengthen the programs, services and communications we offer alumni.”

The Voyagers are scheduling interviews with alumni in seven states (Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, California, Kansas and Rhode Island) and the District of Columbia. If you would like to participate, please complete the online form at www.washcoll.edu/alumni/meet-a-current-student.php.
