Two very successful seasons have come to an end after an amazing ride.

Most Successful Season In Shorewomen Softball History Comes To A Close In 4-1 Loss to St. John Fisher In NCAA Tournament

The most successful season in the history of Washington College Softball came to a close on Saturday afternoon as the Shorewomen fell to St. John Fisher, 4-1, in an elimination contest at Kostrinsky Field in the NCAA Division III Softball Tournament in the Ithaca Region.  The Cardinals, the top seed in the region improve to 34-13, while the Shorewomen, the region’s seven seed, cap the year at 27-19. #4 Stevenson Uses Big Fourth Quarter to Get Past #11 Shoremen in NCAA Second Round

After playing from behind for more than three quarters, fourth-ranked host Stevenson scored six of the seven fourth-quarter goals en route to a 17-13 win over 11th-ranked Washington College in an NCAA Division III Men’s Lacrosse Tournament second-round game tonight at Mustang Stadium. The Mustangs, who improved to 19-2 with the win, move on the NCAA Quarterfinals, while the Shoremen finish their season at 13-5. Read more »

This was the Shoremen’s 30th all-time NCAA Tournament appearance and second in as many years. Last year, the Shoremen lost to Goucher, 5-4, in the first round of the NCAA Division III Tournament; they won the NCAA Division III National Championship in 1998.
