2016 CRFRS Annual Newsletter Now Available
We are pleased to announce that the 2016 Annual Newsletter of the Chester River Field Research Station is now available both online and in print. This publication documents and explores the many projects and events that took place over the last year. The activities were many. We celebrated 10 years of Northern Saw-whet Owl banding at the Foreman’s Branch Bird Observatory with a stunning cover photo and expanded discussion on the endeavor. The 18th year of grassland research took place at our restored native grassland with data collected by a team of Washington College students. The second year of the Natural Lands Project installed nearly 200 acres of native habitat on area farms and we hosted 382 student visits to the field station which is nearly 27% of the student body!
