“My favorite memories are coming home to the rainbows, which always make me think of hope.”

“I’ve been fortunate to live in three different houses along the Chester since coming to Washington College in 2002: two with sunset views, and now one with a sunrise view through my bedroom windows. I’ve thus been starting or ending the day with the Chester for well over a decade – and how lucky I am for it! I recall the first time I was woken up early by a mysterious voice shouting at me (I thought), which turned out to be from a megaphone on the river, urging on members of the crew team! My favorite memories are coming home to the rainbows, which always make me think of hope. Hope springs eternal on the Chester.”
