On March 22, and March 23rd, the department of Theatre and Dance showed Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde written by Moises Kaufman. Jacqueline Glenn ’19 directed the show for her SCE directing thesis. The play was based on true events, demonstrating the way homosexuality was viewed in England during the 1800’s. The cast included: Jake DiPaola ’21 as Oscar Wilde, Jackson Filicicchia ’20 as Charles Gil, Jack Nevins ’19 as Lord Alfred Douglas, Alex Ramos ’20 as Sir Edward Clarke, and several others.

This performance was held in Tawes Theatre in the Gibson Center for the Arts. The event was free and open to the entire campus and Chestertown community, but $1 donations for the Kent County Food pantry were encouraged.
