On Saturday, April 6, Washington College took a field trip to Washington D.C., an event sponsored by the Student Events Board. Students spent the day taking pictures with the beautiful cherry blossom trees on the National Mall, taking in the annual Cherry Blossom Festival, and exploring the historic city. “SEB considers day trips important to student life because they give the students the opportunity to get out of Chestertown for the day without having to worry about driving to the cities themselves…My favorite part of these trips is hearing what different things and activities everyone did during the day. I especially love seeing the reactions of people who had never been to the city before,” Jacklyn Russo, member of the Student Events Board, said.
