The Washington College Model United Nations team travelled to Madrid, Spain for World MUN, an international conference involving MUN teams from colleges and universities all over the world. The team departed on Mon., March 18 and returned on Sun., March 24. The event was run by Harvard University and a local university from Madrid, the host city for the 2019 conference. “It’s a really unique opportunity to grow and learn, but it’s especially cool to meet people from around the world. Over just a few days, I became friends with people from Italy, Mexico, Thailand, and so many other countries. There’s nowhere else that that can happen!” Liz Hay ’22 said of her experience.
