On Friday, May 4th, SEB held their annual end-of-the-year festival, Shorefest. The festival included many fun activities like obstacle courses, inflatables, and carnival rides. There was also a caricature artist, henna tattoos, and free giveaways, including raffle baskets, beach towels, and T-shirts. Many free foods were given out at the festival as well, like cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, and DIY trail mix. The dining hall even had fair-themed food.
The weather was perfect as students enjoyed themselves during their last week of classes. The event helped students relax and get their minds off their impending finals. At the end of the festival, everyone gathered around for Habitat for Humanity’s “Kiss a Pig” fundraiser to watch professor Michele Volansky kiss a live pig. The event concluded with the announcement of all the raffle basket winners who were all very excited to claim their prizes.
