On February 12th, Dr. Roig-Mora presented a discussion on “Transgender Representation In the Global Media” in the Hynson Lounge to the Washington College community

 The talk drew upon examples of various films from across the globe and over the last century. Most notably, Dr. Roig-Mora talks about a series of films with transgender characters that appear in Spain after the fall of fascism.

Other topics included discussion about different types of tropes/stereotypes that transgender characters in cinema are portrayed as having.
