The Music Department presented the Chorus and String Orchestra for their Winter Concert. Directed by Professor Kimberly McCollum, the String Orchestra played works by Johann Sebatian Bach, and highlighted violinists Eric Celmer ’20 and Mari Mullane ’20 as soloists in Bach’s Concerto for Two Violins in D Minor. Flutist Patrick Salerno ’21 soloed during Bach’s “Rondeau,” from Orchestral Suite No. 2 in B Minor.

Directed by Professor J. Ernest Green, the Chorus sang a variety of selections, including musical theatre pieces and also works by composers Thomas Tallis, Johannes Brahmns, Gustav Holst, and Bonia Shur. The choir featured soloist Giselle Brown ’20 in “Nothing” from Chorus Line, and Madison Morton ’19, Destiny Smith ’21, and Savana Miller ’18 in “What I Did for Love” from the same show. In a surprise additional performance, the choir sang Marvin Hamlisch’s “One Song,” featuring soloists Reanna Sherman ’19, Adrienne Chase ’20, Ana Lopez ’19, Madison Battle ’21, Megan Dietrich ’20, and Gabrielle Young ’21.
