November 17, 2017

During the weekend of November 17th, 2017, students involved with MSL (Maryland Student Legislature) from colleges all across the state of Maryland met together at WAC to debate and vote on their own personally written and proposed legislation.  Students were able to write and present legislation from a wide variety of topics and issues such as environmental matters and health and government operations.  Around 65 students from schools such as University of Maryland, Hood college, McDaniel, St. John’s College, and more were able to come to WAC to participate in the event.  The large majority of the event took place in Litrenta Lecture Hall in Toll, where the keynote speaker, Heather Mizeur, gave an inspiring speech.  All of the General Assembly proceedings, where MSL students discuss and vote on which proposed legislature they want to pass, took place in Litrenta as well.
