Weekly Recap 5/7

Tennis, Women’s Lacrosse and Softball competed in their conference tournaments.

Women’s Tennis: The Shorewomen dropped their first-round match to Haverford College, 5-1. WC got their point when junior Julie Lazer and Rachel Martinez won their doubles match.

Men’s Tennis: The Shoremen dropped their first-round match, 5-1, to Franklin & Marshall College. Senior Zack Novick and junior Justi Panepinto got WC their point when they won their doubles match.

Women’s Lacrosse: WC dropped a close 10-9 first-round match to Dickinson College in the Centennial Conference Tournament. Sophomore Cecily Docktor led the team with career-bests and game-highs of four assists and seven points, while scoring three goals.

Softball: The Shorewomen dropped the first game to Gettysburg College in the double-elimination Centennial Conference Tournament. The team then won their elimination game versus McDaniel, but lost their following game on Sunday to end their tournament run.

In WC’s win, freshman Rachel Butler went 3-4 with three RBIs and two runs.
