Actor Alyssa Wilmoth-Keegan Visits Theatre and English Classes

On February 16, guest Alyssa Wilmoth-Keegan visited three Washington College classes: THE 311 10 and THE 311 11 Advanced Acting: Shakespeare, taught by Professor Brendon Fox as well as ENG/THE 206 Shakespeare II, taught by Prof. Kate Moncrief. Wilmoth-Keegan, a professional actor based in Washington, D.C. studied at Western Michigan University (undergrad) and the Academy of Classical Acting at George Washington University (graduate) and has appeared in works by Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, Diana Son, and others. She is certified with honors by SAFD in stage combat. In April, she will star in Tennessee Williams’s Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at Roundhouse Theatre. Wilmoth-Keegan worked with students on scenes from William Shakespeare’s As You Like It and was available to meet with students interested in performing arts careers. She demonstrated with Professors Moncrief and Fox different approaches to acting choices in any given scene. Her visit was supported by the Ellen T. Thawley Fund in English and a Theatre Department Honorarium.
