“Luminance”: Video Art

A sampling of video art from the collection of Tom and Kitty Stoner.

Tom is the founder of Nature Sacred, and serves on the board of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington D.C. as well as the board of SANDBOX.

The viewing will feature a number of thought provoking and meditative videos. The works include Miguel Angel Rios’ On The Edge, 2003, featuring black and white tops engaged in a violent dance, Sigalit Landau’s Mermaids, 2011, in which three women repeatedly emerge from the Mediterranean waves in a futile attempt to draw a line in the sand along the Palestinian and Israeli border, and David Nash’s Boulder an extensive project that continued from 1978- until 2003 and follows the path of a wooden boulder as it drifts down a Welsh stream and out to sea.

This event is free and open to the public.
