“Adjusting to Reality: Adaptive Environmental Management”

A talk by Dr. Carl Hershner, Director of the Center for Coastal Resources Management and Associate Professor of Marine Science at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science.

With numerous publications, Dr. Hershner is primarily interested in tidal and nontidal ecology, landscape ecology, and resource management and policy issues. Currently, he is working on integrated resource management and the development of supporting scientific rationale. Dr. Hershner was recently featured in the Bay Journal discussing adaptive best management practices for the Chesapeake Bay.
