Kohl Gallery is pleased to present Unsettled Hues, Enduring Structures, a one-night performance and two week exhibit by Julia Betts. Please join us for the performance and opening reception on Friday, February 8; the artist will be performing in the gallery from 5-7PM and the audience is invited to enter and exit the gallery throughout. Refreshments will be served.

Then, please come back to view the resulting exhibit during regular gallery hours, February 9-17!

About the artist:
Julia Betts is based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated with a BA from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014 and from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2017 with an MFA in Sculpture. Betts has participated in group exhibitions in New York at Microscope Gallery and Flux Factory, and has presented numerous solo shows at Second Sight Studio (Columbus, OH), Unsmoked Systems (Pittsburgh, PA) and others. Betts will present a solo exhibit at Grid Space in New York during their upcoming exhibit season.

Betts has been an artist-in-residence at Second Sight Studio (OH) and Bunker Projects (PA), and has been awarded upcoming residencies at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VA) and Pilotenkuchen (Leipzig, Germany). She will return to the Washington College campus as a Visiting Artist in the Art + Art History Department in late April 2019.
