Pollinator Photography Contest
Date: 8:00am EDT March 22 - 5:00pm April 21
Open to all Washington College students, the Center for Environment & Society is hosting a Pollinator Photography Contest that will highlight the important role pollinators play in our environment. We are seeking photographs that illustrate the wide variety of pollinators (hint, think more than just honey bees). Photographs can be taken on and off campus and we encourage you to take a break from studying to explore nature and the wonders of pollination. This contest is to boost awareness of pollinators and is part of the outreach efforts of becoming a Bee Campus USA certified Campus, and as a larger effort to help students reconnect with their environments. We all need a break from studying, so get outside and enjoy the outdoors. The contest will run from today March 22nd until Earth Day 2018, April 21st
Official judging will be conducted by the Bee Campus USA committee who will judge entries on subject matter, composition, focus, lighting, uniqueness and impact. The public will also be able to vote via qaultrics survey online for their favorite photo.
