Robert Kennedy’s Journey After JFK
Date: 5:30pm EDT March 20
Former Starr Center student, Washington College alumni John R. “Jack” Bohrer returns to discuss his new book about Robert F. Kennedy, and how he emerged from JFK’s shadow and became the politician whose 1968 campaign inspired millions. He will also talk about his career as senior producer of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
As a television news producer, Bohrer helped produce dozens of interviews with newsmakers. Questions he crafted were put to nearly every major presidential candidate in the 2016 election, including President Donald Trump and Secretary Hillary Clinton. As journalist he’s written many stories online, and some in print, from BuzzFeed to Esquire. His first book is titled The Revolution of Robert Kennedy: From Power to Protest After JFK (Bloomsbury, 2017).
