The Backyard Medicine Cabinet - Simple remedies for everyday ailments

Plants have been used throughout history to heal wounds, settle tummies and soothe coughs. Learn which plants to cultivate in your own living medicine cabinet, their historic uses and simple ways to prepare.

This talk will be presented by Deborah Mizeur andKrista Lamoreaux of Herbal Alchemy, a herbal apothecary dedicated to sustainable practices and respect for the earth and each individual. The talk is sponsored by the Center for Environment & Society, the Chestertown Environmental Committee,Apotheosis Farm and Herbal Alchemy.


Deborah Mizeur is a clinical herbalist and nutritionist with a Master of Science degree in Herbal Medicine from the Maryland University of Integrative Health.


Krista Lamoreaux is a master gardener that oversees the food production on the land at Apotheosis Farm. She has her Master of Science in Therapeutic Herbalism from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. 

The talk will be held in Hynson Lounge on the Washington College Campus. This event is free and open to the public.
