Performance of Northern Indian Music and a talk by Rev. Victor Parachin

A talk on the spiritual teachings of Swami Vivekananda by Rev. Victor Parachin, who recently edited and introduced a new book, Swami Vivekananda: Essential Writings and
a performance of Northern Indian Music featuring Allyn Miner on sitar and Sudev Sheth on tabla drum.

This event is a tribute to Swami Vivekananda on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth. Swami Vivekananda was one of the greatest spiritual leaders of the modern world, the great awakener of the Soul of India in modern times, and one of the builders of modern India whose words and deeds profoundly influenced the lives and thinking of the great founding fathers of Indian Independence like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, and many others. He was also the first cultural ambassador of India to the West.
