What do you do for a campus job or work study?
For my on campus job, I am a tech for the Office of Student Activities, as well as the president of Student Events Board.
What are you up to this summer? And what are you most looking forward to?
This summer, I am staying in Chestertown and working on campus! I am most looking forward to exploring all of the extra things that this wonderful little town has to offer in the summertime.
Have you had any internship, research, or study abroad experiences?
One research experience that opened a lot of doors for me was an experiment that I conduced for my Health Psychology class. I worked in a small group and we all were hands-on in designing and conducting our experiment. Afterwards, we all had to do a lab write-up and design a poster to display our findings. This was such a valuable experience because it helped me prepare for my thesis. The best part about this research experience was that my group submitted it to the Eastern Psychological Association conference, where our project was accepted. We then had the opportunity to travel to New York to present our poster.
What should every student do before they graduate?
I think that every student should take advantage of the waterfront before they graduate! I don’t just mean going down there to look and sit on the the benches, I mean going down and getting a kayak or joining the wakeboarding club… even taking a sailing class. The boat house has so much to offer to students; it is worth exploring because, after all, it’s there for us to use!
How do you unwind?
To unwind I love to go down to the waterfront and just enjoy the atmosphere. If I can’t go down to the water, I really like to listen to music or watch a movie to relax for a bit.
