Ashley McLendon Mattingly graduated from Washington College in 2000 with a B.A. in history. She worked in a variety of roles in historical societies and museums before deciding to pursue a Masters degree in Library and Information Science with a specialization in Archival Administration. She currently works for the National Archives and Records Administration as an Archivist in St. Louis. Specificaly, she manages the personnel records of former civil servants dating back to the 19th century.
