Humanities Magazine Visits the College’s C.V. Starr Center and learns how it brings American history to life.

CHESTERTOWN, MD—The editor of Humanities magazine, the bimonthly publication of the National Endowment for the Humanities, visited Chestertown this spring to learn more about how the C.V. Starr Center for the Study of the American Experience brings history to vivid life through its creative programs and fellowships.

In his article for the May/June issue, “Majoring in History,” David Skinner recounts the Center’s founding and talks with its director, Adam Goodheart, and its 2013 Patrick Henry Writing Fellow, biographer Neal Gabler. He also sits in on Goodheart’s class, “Chestertown’s America.”
