Visiting Artist Endowment

Established in 2001 by Edward E. Maxcy, a co-founder of The Washington College Friends of the Arts.

The Visiting Artist Endowment provides support for the arts at Washington College by bringing in professional artists to campus. The visiting artist (s) provide instruction and/or performances and  interact with the students and faculty to enhance the quality of all arts programming at the College.

The Visiting Artist Endowment has provided the departments of Theatre & Dance, Music and Art/Art History the opportunity to bring guest artists to campus to work with students.  For information on contributing to the fund, please contact Michele Volansky (, Chair, Department of Theatre & Dance.
