Nu Delta Alpha
Washington College has a chapter of Nu Delta Alpha—the national dance honor society. It is open to all students who maintain a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate outstanding ability in dance technique, performance, scholarship, choreography, literature, and/or production. Members earn eligibility by taking dance classes; teaching classes; attending workshops, performances, and master classes; involvement in a performance, writing papers or critiques of performances; and through dance-related community service projects.
Dance Honor Society
The Dance Honor Society holds an two Community Dance Day workshop, one in the Fall and one in the Spring for local students in grades K-8. “Get Up and Dance” gives children an opportunity to explore creative movement, Broadway dance, and hip-hop. This year NΔA members also visited Heron Point to teach the residents a series of line dances.
