Internships can offer some insight about career options, provide additional experience in the field or in the lab, and can distinguish one medical school applicant from another.

While many premedical students might independently arrange internships in various health care environments, Washington College offers opportunities for students to shadow and intern in health professions settings during breaks and summer.

The Director of the Pre-health Professions Program Office works with individual students to seek additional options through other formal programs as well as assisting them in their process of discovering opportunities.
