  • Rahim AlHaj 7:30pm: Rahim AlHaj - Arabic Oud with String/Percussion Septet
    As part of its 2018-2019 Premier Artists lineup, the Washington College Concert Series presents Rahim AlHaj playing the Arabic Oud accompanied by a string and percussion septet. There will be a talk and reception in Hodson Faculty Lounge at 6:00 pm for Patrons and anyone who has purchased a ticket.

    The Department of Music presents a World Music concert featuring Steel Pan, Afro-Cuban and Indian Music. This event is FREE and open to the public.

    The Department of Music presents the Student Honors Recital.  Student soloist and chamber ensembles are selected for this concert via competitive audition. This event is FREE and open to the public.

  • orchestra 7:30pm: Washington College String Orchestra and Chorus
    The Department of Music presents the Washington College Chorus, under the direction of Ernie Green & String Orchestra, under the direction of Kimberly McCollum. This event is FREE and open to the public.

  • symphonic band 7:30pm: Symphonic Band and Jazz Ensemble
    The Department of Music presents the Washington College Symphonic Band (Keith Wharton, Director) and Jazz Ensemble (John Thomas, Director).
    This event is FREE and open to the public.

  • Vocal Recital 4:00pm: Washington College Vocal Studio Recital
    The Department of Music will present a Vocal Recital featuring students from the studios of Carolene Winter and Bennett Umhau.
  • WACappella 7:30pm: WACappella
    WACappella is Washington College’s Student A cappella group. They will be performing on December 7 at 7:30 pm in Hotchkiss Recital Hall. This is a free concert.

    As part of its 2018-2019 Premier Artists lineup, the Washington College Concert Series presents Vocalist Raissa Katona Bennett, with her program “Can’t Help Singing”, the music of Jerome Kern.  Advance tickets are available through Eventbrite.

  • Godspell 7:30pm: “Godspell,” a musical by Stephen Schwartz & John-Michael Tebelak
    Godspell

    Directed by Ernie Green,Godspell is a musical composed by Stephen Schwartz with spoken parts by John-Michael Tebelak. Premiered in 1971, it has enjoyed immense popularity including several Broadway revivals. One if the most well-known songs, “Day-by-Day,” reached #13 on the Billboard pop charts in 1972.

  • Dr. Bakan 6:30pm: Book Talk: Dr. Michael Bakan
    Dr. Bakan, Professor of Ethnomusicology, at The Florida State University will give a talk on his book, Speaking for Ourselves: Conversations on Life, Music, and Autism.  There will be a reception at 6:30 pm before the talk which will begin at 7:00 pm.

  • Mimi Stillman 7:30pm: Mimi Stillman, Flute, and The Annapolis Chamber Orchestra

    As part of its 2018-2019 Premier Artists lineup, the Washington College Concert Series presents Mimi Stillman, flute, and members of the Annapolis Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Ernie Green. There will be a reception after the concert.
