Kristin Naca was raised in northern Virginia and has made her home in cities across the U.S. over the past two decades. She is a long-time member of the Macondo Writers Workshop and a recent fellow at Bread Loaf Writers Conference. Her book Bird Eating Bird was selected for the National Poetry Series mtvU Prize and appears with Harper Perennial. She earned her M.F.A at University of Pittsburgh and the Ph.D. at University of Nebraska. Currently, she resides in Minneapolis and serves as mentor for the Loft Literary Center's Mentor Series. She teaches Asian American and Latino poetics, and creative writing, at Macalester College.
